Ian Schrager has revolutionized the entertainment, residential and hospitality industries. His keen instincts were honed during the ’70s and ’80s, when he and his late business partner, Steve Rubell, created the Studio 54 and Palladium nightclubs. They opened the Morgans Hotel in 1984, introducing the concept of the “boutique hotel” to the world. In 2005 Schrager created Ian Schrager Company, which owns, develops and manages hotels, residential and mixed-use projects. He is currently working on two new hotel brands, PUBLIC and EDITION hotels.
