Katie Benner is a Technology reporter covering venture capital and start-ups for The New York Times.
Prior to The Times, she wrote about technology at Bloomberg and The Information, and she covered Wall Street while a writer at Fortune magazine. She has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, Marketplace Radio and WNYC. Her work includes features on Dell’s doomed turnaround plan, General Electric’s financial crisis woes, the rise and fall of Buddy Fletcher and Ellen Pao, trouble at Jawbone and the disasters that befell employees when Good Technology was sold to BlackBerry. Katie has a bachelor’s degree in English from Bowdoin College and resides in San Francisco.
