Steve Carell is an Academy Award-nominated actor who first gained recognition for his contributions as a correspondent on Comedy Central’s Emmy Award-winning “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and has successfully segued from the small screen to above-the-title status on the big screen. Carell is starring in three films this fall, including “Beautiful Boy,” “Welcome to Marwen” and “Backseat.” He has starred in “Battle of the Sexes,” “Little Miss Sunshine,” the “Despicable Me” series, “Café Society,” “The Big Short,” “Freeheld,”  “Get Smart,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love” and “Foxcatcher” among other films. His first lead role in a feature film was in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” which he co-wrote with director Judd Apatow, and he won a Golden Globe during his eight-year run on the Emmy-nominated series, “The Office.”
