Mulleavy Sisters of Rodarte

The sisters talk fashion and film with Linda Yablonsky

Watch a conversation with visionary fashion designers, and first time filmmakers Kate and Laura Mulleavy – co–founders of the CFDA winning conceptual luxury brand Rodarte.

The duo discussed their multi–hyphenate careers, creative inspirations and their debut feature film “Woodshock,” described as a hypnotic exploration of isolation, paranoia, and grief that exists in a dream–world all its own. Kate and Laura Mulleavy have collaborated on special projects with Frank Gehry and Gustavo Dudamel; Darren Aronofsky on costumes for the film Black Swan; Benjamin Millepied on costumes for the New York City Ballet and the L.A. Dance Project; and artist Catherine Opie. The sisters were interviewed by  Linda Yablonsky, New York Times contributor.
