Robert Redford, Sissy Spacek & David Lowery

The award-winning trio discuss "The Old Man & The Gun"

Logan Hill, veteran New York Times contributor, hosts a conversation with legendary actors Robert Redford and Sissy Spacek with writer-director David Lowery about “The Old Man & The Gun.”

“The Old Man & The Gun” is based on the true story of gentleman bank robber Forrest Tucker (Redford), from his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities, enchanted the public and won him the love of a woman (Spacek) in spite of his chosen profession.

Hear the two Academy Award-winning actors Redford and Spacek talk about working together for the first time, as well as their collaboration with Lowery, whose notable films include “A Ghost Story,” “Pete’s Dragon,” and “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints,” which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
