Jake Silverstein, New York Times Magazine editor, hosts an advance screening of an upcoming episode of “The Weekly,” The Times’s new TV show premiering on FX and streaming on Hulu, followed by a conversation with several of the Times journalists involved in the series.
You’ll be the first to see “The End of the Line,” and follow national correspondent Sabrina Tavernise as she explores the personal impact of the seismic technological shifts in the auto industry on workers at a GM plant in Lordstown, Ohio. You’ll hear how Times immigration reporter Caitlin Dickerson uncovered the untold story of “Baby Constantin,” who spent most of his first 10 months of life separated from his parents by the American government.
And Times assistant managing editor Sam Dolnick, executive producer of “The Weekly,” will discuss how The Times is bringing its unrivaled journalism to an entirely new platform, producing authoritative weekly news documentaries on the most important stories of our time, featuring Times journalists who have reported on an issue for months or, in many cases, years.
Watch “The Weekly” Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX and on Hulu the following day.
